Êîíôåðåíöèÿ "Information Technology in Global Economy: Challenge and Promise"
The Embassy of Ukraine and the Ukraine-U.S. Business Council are pleased to invite you to the first Annual US-Ukraine 'Information Technology in Global Economy: Challenge and Promise' Conference. This year's Conference will be held at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, June 18th, from 3:00 p.m. till 7 p.m.
(Location: 3350 M Street, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20007).
Ukraine is both one of the largest emerging markets in Europe, and a country with great industrial and scientific potential, directly related to information technology and telecommunications. Independent research data shows an annual increase of PC sales in Ukraine at 20% with amount of Internet users at 40% growth per year.
The conference features keynote speakers and panelists from the U.S. Agencies assisting American companies entering emerging markets, Fortune 500 corporations with business case studies in Ukraine, major Ukrainian IT companies with success stories on vertical market applications in the U.S., leading experts on legal environment, investment climate and economic performance of Eastern European countries (s. below the list of speakers).
One of the Conference's highlights will be introduction of the U.S.-Ukraine Digital Alliance to advance cooperation of American and Ukrainian companies in information technology.
Moderated Q &A Panel at the conclusion of Conference will be followed by Reception.
The event is free of charge but due to space limitation registrations will be accepted on a first come - first served basis. RSVP by Friday, June 14, 2002.
