Пятый двухгодичный симпозиум "Десять лет спустя"
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - The 5th Biennial Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Opportunities Symposium will take place November 2005 at Penn State Great Valley in Malvern, PA. Coordinated by the Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC), this event has received support from Mid-Atlantic states and local governments, economic development organizations, and regional chambers of commerce and business associations, as well as the New York Office of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation to the USA. This Symposium is the region's only major annual event dedicated to promoting business opportunities with Russia and the Newly Independent States.
Features of this year Symposium are:
- Opportunities through the Russian-American Regional Cooperation Initiative
- Other topics of interest to business, such as Russian legal, accounting and financial systems, transportation and distribution, insurance and investment guarantees
- Panel presentations highlighting opportunities in specific industry sectors, such as agriculture, food processing, packaging equipment, consumer goods, information technology and telecommunications, cutting-edge technology, the medical and pharmaceutical industries, environmental industry, building industry, transportation, media, travel and tourism, and other prospective exports to Russia
- New initiatives and projects including Mid-Atlantic Region trade mission to Russia
- Russian Innovation Technologies Trade Show
This year's distinguished speakers include Deputy Trade Representative, Consul Commercial of the Russian Federation to the USA, Russian executives from several regions of that country; representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Mid-Atlantic States' Departments of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, and Agriculture, U.S. Congressmen and senior executives from American companies doing business with Russia. The keynote address will be given by United States Congressman Curt Weldon of Pennsylvania, Congressional point person on communications with the Russian Government, Co-Chairman of the Russian Duma-U.S. Congress Study Group.
