The year-end roundup (2002) for Russian cellular by J’son & Partners and Sotovik

Russian cellular has made serious gains in the past year with subscribers jumping more than 120% and penetration doubling to over 12%.

With continued regional buildout, there remains a huge pent-up demand in this dynamic country of over 143 million.

Predictions for 2003

- Regions continue to witness triple digit growth

- Billing systems evolve into a hot market opportunity

- Value-added services (2.5G+, MMS) take off in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other large Russian cities
